FAQ

Frequently asked questions about interpreting and translation

If your project-specific question is not covered here, contact me directly.

Which interpreting mode suits my event?

I make a recommendation based on participant numbers, programme length, venue, interaction style and the available technical setup.

Why do you need presentation materials in advance?

They allow me to prepare terminology, names, abbreviations and the logic of the event, directly supporting more accurate interpreting.

When are two interpreters needed?

For longer simultaneous assignments, interpreters alternate at regular intervals. We confirm the exact requirement based on the programme.

Can you arrange a booth partner and equipment?

Yes. Depending on the assignment, I can help coordinate a suitable interpreting partner and technical provider.

Do you accept online and international assignments?

Yes. Alongside Budapest and other Hungarian locations, online and international assignments can also be arranged.

How do you handle confidential information?

Project materials and information obtained during the assignment are handled with professional confidentiality. An NDA can also be signed if required.

What determines the fee?

The service type, duration or word count, subject, deadline, location, technical requirements and preparation all affect the quote.

What should I include in a quote request?

For interpreting: date, location, duration, topic, language pair and programme. For translation: document, target language, deadline and required service.

What is the difference between translation, revision and editing?

Translation creates a new target-language text. Revision checks it against the source, while stylistic editing refines the target-language wording.
